Hello and welcome! If you’ve landed on my page, you may be curious about supporting your mental health and I recognize that asking for help isn’t always easy. Finding a therapist that works for you can be a challenge, but I applaud you for taking these steps in your therapeutic journey!

My name is Megan, and I am a licensed social worker and contract therapist with ACN. Originally from Chicago, I moved south to embrace the warm weather and have more opportunities to be in nature. I’m a big animal lover and have a cat named Coconut and a dog named Cheddar.

As a neurodivergent person, I am passionate about embracing the strengths of neurodivergence and advocating for the unique needs of this population. I also identify as queer and am enthusiastic about creating inclusive spaces for all and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Science in Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health, and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. My education and work in nutrition is what opened my eyes to the realities of disordered behaviors and how it interfered with peoples’ pursuits of health and wellness. I continued to see these efforts take a toll on people’s mental health which inspired me to become a licensed therapist so I can provide whole-person care.

I aim to support others in the changes they want to make, encourage compassion for oneself, and find joy in eating and movement. My therapeutic style is relational, strength-based, solution-focused, culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and individualized to meet you where you’re at. You’ll find me to be empathetic, nurturing, and often humorous in our time together.

If you think I might be right for you, please reach out and I’d be happy to set up a 15-minute consultation call.
